MEET THE CREW
Captain: Thomas Foster
Chef/First Mate: Jorja Brady
Born and raised in Cape Town, Tom has spent the last 5 years working at sea. After graduating from university with a degree in construction management, Tom decided that sailing the high seas seemed like a more exciting way to spend his time. With experience ranging from 40ft day boats sailing the South African coastline to 110ft sailing super-yachts blasting across the Mediterranean and Ionian seas and mid-sized catamarans in the Caribbean. Tom has gained critical experience to provide his guests the highest level of enjoyment!
When not sailing, you can probably find Tom somewhere around the world driving (& fixing) his 1982 converted camper-van.
Growing up in a small fishing town on Scotland’s East Coast, Jorja has always felt at home by the sea. Her love of hospitality began early, working in local seafood restaurants known for their warm Scottish charm, where she learned the importance of making guests feel welcome.
While studying Sustainable Development at the University of Edinburgh, Jorja honed her hostess, mixologist, and barista skills at high-end events and venues across Scotland. Outside of work and studies, you’d find her hosting dinner parties, recipe-testing with flatmates, and exploring the city’s diverse food scene.
Craving adventure beyond the traditional graduate path, Jorja followed her passion for people and food to luxury safari lodges in Malawi. She wore many hats, overseeing guest experiences, coordinating logistics, and often stepping into the kitchen. She learnt to cook creatively with local ingredients and tailor menus to each guest. This experience shaped her approach to delivering thoughtful, personalised hospitality.
In 2023, Jorja attended culinary school in London to refine her skills before joining the yachting world. Over the past four seasons, she has thrived as a chef and first mate on luxury sailing yachts across the Adriatic and Caribbean seas. Jorja blends her love of the ocean with her passion for cooking and hosting, and she’s excited to welcome you aboard.
Tom and Jorja can’t wait to welcome you aboard Sea Dog and give you the experience of a vacation of a lifetime!
