What is Included and How to Book

Yacht charter rates follow two models:

• Plus-expenses charters: Guests only pay for the yacht and crew base rate, then cover running costs through an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA). This fund covers fuel, provisioning, and dockage. The APA typically runs 20 to 25 percent of the base rate for sailing yachts and 30 to 35 percent for motor yachts. The captain provides a transparent account of these expenses at the end of the trip, refunding any unused funds.

  • This is the standard charter model across the Mediterranean. All charters in destinations such as Greece, Italy, France, Croatia, Spain, and Turkey operate on a plus-expenses basis using an APA.

• All-inclusive charters: One flat rate covers a private luxury yacht, a professional crew, gourmet meals, a standard bar, and full access to the yacht’s onboard amenities and water toys. It excludes airport transfers, shore excursions, and personal purchases.

This model is standard for most crewed sailing catamarans and sailing yachts, and is typical to Caribbean Yacht Charters.

Crew gratuity is optional but customary at 10 to 15 percent of the charter rate.
