By the age of 19, he had already embraced the role of a skipper, embarking on an extensive sailing journey that, throughout the years, encompassed the Mediterranean Sea, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the west coast of Africa, and the Pacific coast of Central America. Remarkably, he has crossed the Atlantic Ocean 12 times.
In 2001, Captain Jiorgos received the first-class Medal of Honor from the Minister of Merchant Marine for his crucial role in the rescue mission of the passengers of the ferry boat Samina. Today, he stands as an exceptionally experienced sailing and motor yacht captain, known for his adaptability, easy-going nature, and sociability. Jiorgos is more than a captain; he is a storyteller, ready to make your sailing vacation the trip of a lifetime with his adventure tales and helpful attitude.
Apart from sailing, Captain Jiorgos is passionate about water sports, he is creating art work from recycled tools and loves to improve and re-build his long-time summer house project. Possessing an AB rank, Joel is known for his strong work ethic, kindness, discretion, and attentiveness to the needs of his guests.
