Captain: George Panagiotopoulos , Age: 40
George Panagiotopoulos is a highly experienced and dependable professional skipper with many successful
seasons at sea across Greek waters. He has extensive knowledge of the Northern and Southern Ionian, the
Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Saronic Gulf, allowing him to design safe, well-balanced itineraries tailored to
weather conditions and guest expectations. He has operated a wide range of sailing monohulls, catamarans and
motor yachts up to 68ft, both in private and charter environments. His background includes multi-season
command of a private motor yacht in the Ionian Sea, long-term collaborations with established charter
companies, flotilla leadership, yacht deliveries within Greece and internationally, as well as vessel preparation and
off-season maintenance. This breadth of experience has made him confident in handling different yacht types,
guest profiles and cruising conditions with professionalism and calm decision-making. George holds a Greek
Offshore Sailing License (I.O.P), Motorboat License, GMDSS Communications License and First Aid certification.
He is known for his reliability, strong seamanship and ability to remain composed under pressure, always
prioritizing safety, smooth operation and an enjoyable onboard atmosphere.
Deeply connected to the sea beyond his profession, he enjoys fishing, spearfishing, swimming, snorkeling,
running and continuous learning — qualities that reflect his disciplined and balanced character both on and off
duty.
Hostess/Cook: Anastasia Methenitou, 56
Anastasia is a Greek Private Chef and experienced Yacht Cook, born on the island of Poros and raised in a true
maritime environment where both sailing and cooking became part of her everyday life. With more than 15
years of experience working onboard catamarans, monohull sailing and racing yachts, motor yachts up to 25m,
she is confident in managing all galley operations, from provisioning and menu planning to tailoring each
culinary experience according to guests’ preferences and dietary requirements. Her cuisine reflects her
Mediterranean roots, with a strong focus on Greek, Italian and European flavors, while she is also comfortable
with Asian cuisine and fully experienced in vegan and plant-based gastronomy. She holds specialized diplomas
from the Culinary Centre of Athens in Yachts & Villas and Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine, along with further
training in Italian pasta, traditional Greek pies and vegan pastry.
Beyond her yachting experience, Anastasia has worked as a Vegan Chef, as a Sous Chef in an Italian restaurant,
and as an Airbnb Hostess & Private Dining Cook, organizing bespoke dining experiences in Poros and the
Athens Riviera. She has also worked as a Food Tour Guide for private culinary tours in Athens and has extensive
experience in event planning, arranging wedding catering and private celebrations.
She speaks fluent English and has a good command of Spanish. Professional, discreet and adaptable, she aims to
deliver a warm, authentic Greek hospitality experience combined with high standards and attention to detail
onboard.
