Captain James Slater has spent over two decades sailing the waters of the Eastern Caribbean, with deep roots in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and regular runs through the British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Antigua, Martinique, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Trinidad. An ASA-certified instructor and captain, he's twice been named Instructor of the Year for his work training sailors across both monohulls and catamarans, and has spent years at the helm of charters for operators including TMM, Barefoot Yacht Charters, Dream Yacht Charter, and Navigare Yachting. James also managed and skippered his own Bahia 46 catamaran, giving him a hands-on understanding of what makes a charter run smoothly — from route planning to onboard hospitality. Guests sailing with James can expect a captain who combines local knowledge of the Carribbean seas with the calm, experienced hand of someone who has spent a career on the water.
