Meet Luna's Crew — Captain Rico & Chef/Stew Marisol
Rico and Marisol come to Luna from opposite ends of the Atlantic, joined by the same instinct: the best days are spent on, in, or somewhere very close to the sea.
Originally from South Africa, Rico grew up on the water, and that early connection turned into a professional yachting career that has taken him across the Atlantic and throughout the Caribbean. A commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster, he has extensive experience running sailing catamarans in both private and luxury charter settings. He builds personalized itineraries, knows the anchorages and hidden corners worth the detour, and keeps the balance between adventure and rest exactly where guests want it — with safety and seamanship handled quietly in the background.
Marisol is from Mexico and just as happy in the water as on it. A passionate freediver, she has worked as both stewardess and chef aboard private and charter yachts, with culinary training spanning Mexico and The Bahamas. Her cooking runs fresh, colorful, and unapologetically Mexican when the mood calls for it, and her real signature is the thoughtful detail — the small things guests remember long after the trip.
Between charters you'll find them both underwater, on a new watersport, or walking a beach that isn't on any chart. Approachable, energetic, and hands-on, they run a relaxed boat and a high standard at the same time.
